Erik Martin works in network maintenance at Dorsey Tech, a job that hides how good he is. In episodes 1 and 2 he holds off an attack by 300 expert hackers and unlocks the company's IP. William Dorsey, the owner's son, takes over as acting CEO, starts laying people off and fires Erik without knowing that the company employs a second Erik Martin, a slacker spelled Eric. Erik's girlfriend Fernanda, the HR head, sides with William. Evelyn Hendricks, CEO of a rival company, steps in, and ReelShort's text says that teaming up with her sinks his old employer before William realises he fired the wrong man. Four actors are tagged on the title page, ReelShort says the series is not AI-made, and all 59 episodes are out.

Dorsey Tech is under attack from 300 hackers when network maintenance man Erik Martin quietly fends them off, then falls asleep at his desk. Acting CEO William Dorsey, busy laying off staff, fires him. Only afterwards does William's father tell him a tech genius named Erik Martin works there, and William takes the wrong man for him: Eric, a loser who steals Erik's codes, takes the credit for ending the next cyberattack and flirts with Fernanda, Erik's girlfriend and the HR head. Erik catches her cheating with William, is called an unemployed loser, then accused of staging the attack out of revenge and blacklisted. As guards close in, Evelyn Hendricks, CEO of the rival Hendricks Group, arrives to help him, which is where the free episodes end at episode 15. Per ReelShort's premise he joins her, Dorsey Tech goes bankrupt and William learns too late whom he fired. ReelShort's 2025 ending article calls it a redemption for Erik and says William pays for what he did, but narrates no final scene.
